Asha Vahishta Zoroastrian Fire Temple is a place of worship and also a venue for Zoroastrian social & religious ceremonies such as Navjotes (sadreh-pooshi), Weddings (Ashirwad), Jashans, Maachi prayers, and the four day obsequies funeral prayers for those who opt for burial or cremation.
Entry to the Fire Temple and participating in any / all ceremonies is open to all without any discrimination.
Religious ceremonies, on request, can also be provided and performed at other venues/residences in Pune, Mumbai or any other city in India.
Asha Vahishta (Ardibehest) is one of the divine being or archangel created by God Ahura Mazda, to help govern creation.
(Asha Vahishta is the Avestan name; Ardibehest is the later Pahlavi name)
Asha Vahishta (Ardibehest) is the lawful order of the cosmos according to which all things happen.
Asha Vahishta (Ardibehest) is the presiding angel over Holy Fire (Atash), soul, radiant light – All sacred to the Zoroastrians as the inner nature of reality. To the devotees Asha Vahishta (Ardibehest) holds out the path of justice and spiritual knowledge.
Asha Vahishta Fire Temple is open to all without any discrimination, including inter-married Parsis, their children & families and also Zoroastrian enthusiasts who seek greater insights into Zoroastrianism.
Asha Vahishta Fire Temple firmly believes in the primal message of ‘Humata (Good Thoughts), Hukhata (Good Words), Huvarshta (Good Deeds)’ conveyed by our Holy Prophet Asho Zarathustra for all mankind.
